The Lifestyle Director is responsible for managing the Lifestyle department that develops and implements lifestyle enriching programs.
Responsibilities include:
These programs are designed to contribute to whole person wellness through social and community involvement, participatory and spectator events, creative and educational coursework, lecture series, travel clubs, book reviews, fitness classes, etc. This position oversees the transportation services, independent contractors, fitness services and coordinates with spa/salon center operators.
Qualifications:
Maintains a courteous and professional manner through interactions with others.
• Uses a resident and customer-focused approach to problem solving, goal setting and management philosophy.
• Uses discretion in handling confidential information, incorporating all Federal, State and local privacy and confidentiality requirements.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with strong oral, written and platform speaking skills.
• Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with planning and implementation of large and small scale events.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in program development and program management with prior supervisory responsibility. Experience in the senior living industry preferred. Four year college degree in leisure studies, recreational therapy, gerontology, wellness or related field and/or equivalent experience in assessing, designing and implementing vocational, emotional, social, physical, intellectual and spiritual programs for an active senior population. Must possess a valid driver’s license, where applicable.
