Personal Trainer

Personal training for the older adult population of Huntington Beach.

This position is for the City of Huntington Beach's Senior Center in Central Park, which is scheduled to open in July 2016. This facility will feature a state of the art 5,600 sq. ft. Wellness Center.

Responsibilities include:

Staff will be responsible for developing and implementing a specialized exercise regimen for clients. Ensures the fitness program meets the needs of the client and may include elements such as physical fitness, nutrition, cardiovascular training, and weight training. Offers guidance and support to clients in order to achieve their goals. Requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience. Personal trainer certification is also required. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Qualifications:

ACSM, NSCA, ACE, or NASM Personal Trainer certification or higher is required.

CPR & AED certification is required.

At least one year of personal training experience is required.
