STEPS leader participates in college ‘pitch’ event

Sandra Sheffield-Young, creator of STEPS Exercise Services of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, recently took part in Mohawk College’s second annual “Fit to Pitch,” where students “pitched” their business models and received feedback. Students at the Hamilton-based college receive curriculum and programming intended to be current and consistent with the realities of today’s employment opportunities. Along with alumni and faculty members, industry experts such as Sheffield-Young brought real-world experience to the learning environment. The STEPS CEO enjoyed giving feedback at the pitch event based on her years of experience with exercise programming for older adults. Go to www. steps-co.ca for company information.
