[PIED PIPERS] Influencer marketing trends that can boost your ROI

Influencer marketing is generally associated with young people on Tok-tok and similar platforms. Yet it's clear that influencer marketing also plays a role in other markets, including senior living (see link, below). Ogilvy has prepared a report demonstrating the growth of influencer marketing and the trends to watch for. The report states, "The question is no longer if you should partner with influencers. Rather, you should be asking how to get the most out of influencer marketing in 2022."

The 17-page report covers such topics as why influencer marketing is important right now; how to select purpose-driven influencers, which are important for every age demographic; how to use influencer marketing to boost diversity in your organization's branding; and the story telling and social interactions that are likely to lead to sales. The sections on encouraging employee advocacy and creating hybrid – physical and digital – experiences could be especially useful.

The report concludes, "We cannot be totally sure what things will look like in ten years' time. But we can confidently say that those who begin learning the ropes of influencer marketing now will happier later."
