Frequently asked questions

  1. How do I become an ICAA member?
Click here to access online membership application form and link to PDF version. Once you have downloadedandprinted the application form, you may either mail or fax the filled form with your choice of payment.

  2. What is the difference between an Organizational and an Individual membership?
The key difference between and Individual and Organizational membership lies in the number of contacts that receive subscriptions to ICAA publications and access to ICAA resources. An Individual membership enables one person only to receive member benefits; an Organizational membership gives up to five contacts at one location subscriptions and personal access to the member-only section of the website.

Another important difference is reflected in membership ownership. In an Individual membership, the individual (not the employer) is the owner. An Organizational membership is the property of the company that has purchased it for its employees.  This enables the company to assign the memberships and retain all the benefits even when an employee leaves.

The membership certificate for Individual membership certificate shows the name of the person; an Organizational membership certificate lists the name of the organization.

  3. How do I know what level of membership I have?
Refer to the member card that was mailed to you with your membership package. It will indicate membership type.

Or, look at your receipt of payment. The receipt will indicate your membership level. If you’re still not sure, call or e-mail the ICAA.

  4. How do I know when to renew my membership?
ICAA memberships expire annually. For example, if you purchased your membership in May 2010, your membership is valid through May 2011.

Your membership certificate and card will list the time of expiry. If you are a new member, your welcome e-mail will contain the time of your membership expiry.

When it is time to renew, you will receive a notice in the mail as well as by e-mail.
As always, if you are unsure as to the date of your membership expiry you may call the ICAA office.

  5. Where do I send my Membership Application form?

  6. How do I know if I’m an ICAA member?

There are three simple questions that you can ask yourself to determine whether you are an ICAA member:

    a) Do you have a member number and password for the member-only section of the website?
    b) Did you receive a welcome package and welcome e-mail with your member number and password?
    c) Do you have record of payment for your membership?

If you responded yes to all of the above questions, congratulations, you are an ICAA member. If you answered no to all or some of these questions, chances are you are not a member of the ICAA. Call or e-mail the ICAA to confirm your membership status.

I know I’m a member…how do I know what my login and password for the member-only section are?

    a) Check your membership card.
    b) Check your welcome e-mail and letter.
    c) Call or e-mail the ICAA.
