Misleading info in 25% of most viewed YouTube COVID-19 videos

More than one in four of the most viewed English-speaking COVID-19 videos on YouTube contain misleading or inaccurate information, according to researchers from the University of Ottawa.
Public health misinformation on COVID-19 is reaching far more people than in previous pandemics such as the swine flu (HIN1) pandemic and the Ebola and Zika outbreaks and has considerable potential for harm, they warn. Tech Talk: Digital Health Indicator to accelerate global innovation

The COVID-19 pandemic has reinforced that we are living in a global world with tremendous potential to connect people and organizations via technology. Reinforcing this perspective and aiming to maximize that potential, the non-profit Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), parent company of MobiHealthNews, recently launched the Digital Health Indicator. Marketers: Are you

Marketers: Are you "stumped" by social media?

Global market research company WARC explores recent research suggesting that marketers are unable to show how the use of social media benefits their businesses. WARC notes that a recent Forrester report (not available online) covered in the marketing news publication "Campaign" states "social media stumps marketers. First, they had unrealistic expectations of social media, hoping it would be the key to unlocking massive profits in the digital age. When that didn't pan out, they shifted 180 degrees to believing that social media's only use was for advertising. Although it's true that Facebook's primary business value is as an advertising platform, it's a mistake to infer that advertising is social media's sole opportunity."
