The GREEN Plan
A multipronged program to market environment-related offerings to ICAA members
Want to spread the word about your commitment to environmental wellness or stewardship? ICAA will roll out a new, multipronged program in 2010 that recognizes the environment as an essential dimension in older-adult wellness. Delving into elements of indoor and outdoor environments, the GREEN Plan will offer you opportunities to inform ICAA members about ways to use the environment for wellness, as well as eco-friendly products, services, processes and designs, which contribute to a healthier world. To further support the importance of environment, ICAA will also launch an expanded wellness model in 2010 that includes environmental wellness.
Grounded in the feedback of ICAA members, who indicate a high level of interest in the environment, the GREEN Plan is the first program to come out of ICAA 2020, an initiative designed to help the active-aging industry look forward and prepare to thrive in the future
ICAA Green Guide (online)
This thought-provoking publication offers ICAA members access to scientifically based, how-to information from world leaders in environmental wellness and stewardship. Don’t miss this opportunity to let ICAA members know about your organization’s commitment to providing products, services, processes or designs that help them meet their environment-related goals.
ICAA Green Review (online)
This quarterly newsletter provides ICAA members with the latest research and information on products, services, processes and designs that are eco-friendly and/or enable use of the environment for wellness. Only ICAA Green Vendors may submit news about their offerings for consideration. Submissions that meet this publication’s criteria will be published.
ICAA Green Vendors Program (online)
As an ICAA Green Vendor, your company will be recognized for its commitment to developing products, services, processes and designs that are eco-friendly or promote environmental wellness. This yearlong program is a must for highlighting your offerings on the Green Vendors section of the ICAA website (multimedia submissions welcome).
ICAA Green Preconference Day
For the past 7 years, the ICAA Conference has become the event for professionals in the field of active aging. Now, ICAA introduces the new Going Green Preconference Series for attendees. This daylong event will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about the latest in technologies and systems, enabling them to provide greener wellness and community environments.
