Active Aging Week
Every September, the last week is Active Aging Week. You can plan a single session, multiple activities on a single day or multiple days during the week. All the activities are free to older adults and emphasize fun and education. Preparation materials from ICAA are free, including guides on how to plan for the activities and examples of past week’s activities. There are also posters, sample press releases and other materials. Career Center
Are you looking for the right employee? Or want to find the ideal job? Organizations can post available positions and individuals can post their resumes on this section of the web site. For employers, the first two postings are free. Individuals can post their resumes for free at anytime. Look for details on the ICAA web site.

Industry surveys
What is a wellness program? How are facilities equipped? How much are people paid? ICAA is working to survey you, and then report the results to the industry. Get involved by completing the surveys so ICAA can continue to gather information on the industry. You will get a free summary of the survey results, as well as help move the industry forward.

ICAA survey links are sent by e-mail.

Work groups
ICAA facilitates industry work groups to develop tools that support active-aging wellness programs. The work groups are composed of volunteers who provide expertise in program development and management, including people from retirement communities, academia, research and community services. For certain projects, such as survey development, ICAA will also form an ad hoc advisory group to review and comment on the project.

ICAA work groups are formed as needed.

Online Directory of Successful Programs
This directory will be launched in 2008. It will feature a listing and short description of programs that are successful in improving wellness among older adults. You can submit your quality program or serve as a reviewer.
