Boomers & Beyond: In-Home Training

ACE CECs: 0.2

The “Boomers & Beyond” online course teaches personal trainers and fitness professionals how to exercise safely and effectively with mid-life and older adults in a home setting. With 68 million Americans over the age of 65 (representing a quarter of the population) and almost 8,000 people turning 60 each day, this represents a tremendous opportunity and challenge for personal trainers. You’re now more likely to work with baby boomers and older clients wanting to maintain health, fitness and vitality in the face of physiological aging. These clients often appreciate the convenience and comfort of exercising in a home environment. Learn how to modify exercise programs based on musculoskeletal limitations such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, low back pain and rotator cuff injuries. This video-based online course demonstrates exercise progressions that incorporate balance challenges for upper body, lower body and the core. You’ll also receive a PDF download of key points from the video.

Continuing education course fee: $49.99. Click here to order.
