More knowledge prepares students to work with older adults
One of the issues facing employers in the active-aging industry, according to industry leaders advising ICAA, is the challenge of ageist attitudes. High school and college students may have negative perceptions of aging that prevent them from even considering working with older adults (ICAA Research Review, 9[3] 2009).
