Obesity weighs heavy on quality of life

As noted in the CDC analysis above, obesity is associated with an increased risk for coronary heart disease, hypertension, stroke, type 2 diabetes, certain types of cancer and premature death as well as reduced quality of life, social stigmatization and discrimination. A separate analysis concentrated on the relationship of obesity to quality of life.
