The role of physical activity in promoting life engagement
With the aging of the global population, attention has turned to physical activity as one of the factors to help older adults maintain their health. As noted by the World Health Organization, diet and physical activity are a public health priority to prevent or manage noncommunicable diseases (for example stroke, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and some cancers). Does physical activity have a role in successful aging beyond physical health? To answer that question, a team of researchers conducted a literature review.
