Even at normal weight, belly fat is risky
Within the rankings of body weight, “normal” weight, estimated at a body mass index (BMI) between 18.5-24.9, is considered to be a healthy weight because of the lower risk of illnesses associated with overweight and obesity (for example, cardiovascular disease and diabetes). At the annual meeting of the European Society of Cardiology, one presentation added nuance to the viewpoints on a normal weight range.
