Meaningful social participation leads to successful aging
The social dimension of wellness has increasing support from research on its contribution to active aging.
SURVEY: The responses of 16,369 people (65 years or older) participating in the 2008/2009 Canadian Community Health Survey―Healthy Aging were used to compare the number and frequency of their social activities to their reports of self-perceived health, loneliness and life dissatisfaction.
