Unnecessary meds prescribed after dementia diagnosis

Following a diagnosis of dementia in adults ages 65+, medication use increased by 11% per year overall, while the use of potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) increased by 17%, according to a study of close to 2,500 older adults followed for 10 years.
