What makes a program successful? To be listed on the Directory, a program must meet a basic set of criteria. The criteria were chosen to permit as many programs as possible to be included while maintaining a standard of quality.
The industry reviewers are the objective observers who insure the programs that are posted on the Directory meet the quality standard and are ready to be used or borrowed by others. Because of the review process, professionals who use the Directory to locate a program, can be confident that the program has met the criteria, that the program description is clear, and that there is additional information available if they have questions.
If you are interested in becoming a reviewer, contact ICAA. You should have at least 3 years experience working with older adults, be available for a one-year commitment, and able to complete a review within 14 days.
If selected as a reviewer, you will be scheduled for an orientation session to insure that your decisions are consistent with those of your colleagues.
