1. Complete the online program listing on the ICAA website.
Please answer all the questions. You can find an explanation of each element by clicking here. Then, submit the listing. Your online entries will be sent to ICAA and to one or more peer reviewers. The reviewers will see if the program listing is clear and matches the criteria.
2. Prepare a second written description of the program with more details that can be sent to others.
Once the program is listed on the Directory, you must be able to provide more details about the program in a written format that is available on a website, or can be emailed or mailed (you pay the postage) to people who inquire about the program.
The Online Directory of Successful Programs is an index to available programs. There are more details to share, and you will provide these in a written format. Please be prepared. You can find a Program Description Worksheet by clicking here. It is similar to the Directory listing, but with more details.
3. Review the description annually to make sure it is accurate.
Did the success factors change? Is the program still available? Does the detailed Program Description need to be updated? Place someone in charge of reviewing the program and your printed material to make sure the Directory is most useful.
4. Be willing to share your successes!
Professionals who join the ICAA network want to connect with others. This is your opportunity to share your great ideas. The Online Directory of Successful Programs is not a competition. It was created to build a learning community so we all work for the common goal of improving quality of life for older adults.
