This kind of initiative has implications for senior living, assisted living, and dementia care. It also offers another opportunity for collaboration, now in the Atlanta, Georgia area, and then in other regions.

Tech Talk: Amazon to launch "Alexa Together" for caregivers

Amazon soon will be launching Alexa Together, a $19.99 monthly subscription service (free limited-time, six-month trial) aimed at families with aging members who are living independently but may need extra support, according to an article in TechCrunch. The service will expand on Amazon's existing product, Alexa Care Hub, and add new features such as urgent response, which enables hands-free, 24/7 access to an emergency helpline. Seniors centers, independent living communities and other active-aging organizations may want to alert their constituents to the service. According to Amazon, in early 2022, multiple people will be able to support an older adult using Alexa Together.
