AHA gives guidance on exercise training for those at high risk
The American Heart Association (AHA) has issued a new scientific statement addressing how exercise training should be approached in people with chronic conditions and other factors that put them at high risk, a group that is underrepresented in exercise research and undertreated with exercise as therapy. The guidance could be helpful for active-aging community wellness professionals and others who provide exercise training for older adults.
