Tech Talk: Robotic suit helps older adults sit-to-stand, walk better
A lightweight (6-pound), tendon-driven hip exosuit improved older adults' ability to stand up from a chair and walk more efficiently, according to a feasibility study led by researchers at the Technical University of Munich and Heidelberg University. Exosuits are the next wave of mobility rehabilitation that active-aging staff and management may want to follow.
