Research versus practical information for older adults
If people are to take a more active role in making health care decisions, then they need to have the information that will inform those decisions. The purpose of evidence-based patient and consumer information is to provide unbiased evidence, in plain language, of the benefits and risks of diagnostic procedures and treatments. How do older adults respond to evidence-based patient and consumer information?
