Weight loss lowers risk of breast cancer

The risk of a diagnosis of breast cancer increases with age. For example, in the United States, the median age of diagnosis was 61 years in 2005-2009. Among the risk factors are obesity, excessive alcohol, hormone therapy (estrogen-progestin combination) and inheritance. Exercise is associated with a decreased risk of breast cancer.
