Fracture risk also reduced by vitamin D

For a meta-analysis of 11 randomized clinical trials, data on 31,022 people, average age 76, was pooled to examine their intakes of vitamin D supplementation in relation to risk of fractures. Participants had experienced 1,111 hip fractures and 3,770 nonvertebral fractures.
