Homelike atmosphere attracts people to age-qualified housing
An independent living community in senior housing is typically composed of age-restricted rental apartments or cottages with services—such as meals, housekeeping, linen service, transportation, and social and recreational activities—available on site for an additional fee. No supportive services are provided (National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry). What encourages older adults to move into an independent living complex, as opposed to other living choices?
