Walk 'n' Wheel to Function by Patricia A. Brill, Ph.D.

Walking is inexpensive, requires little equipment, can be done almost anywhere, and benefits young and old alike. Walkers have also been shown to stay active in their later years and to live longer. In fact, a walking program can also benefit individuals in wheel-chairs, who improve their aerobic endurance and upper-body strength by "wheeling" regularly.
