Heart health relies on just the right amount of sleep
The results of an analysis of the sleep habits of a nationally representative sample of approximately 3,019 people 45 years and older who participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were presented at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) annual meeting. Respondents were asked about how long they slept and if they were ever told they had congestive heart failure, heart attack, coronary artery disease, angina (chest pain) or stroke.
