Energy costs, social isolation up extreme weather health risks
UK researchers have found that financial problems make it difficult for some older adults to prioritize heating and cooling their homes, leading to approximately 50,000 excess deaths in the winter of 2017/2018 and more than 1,200 excess deaths in June and July, 2018 in England and Wales.
