Intergenerational dementia education boosts knowledge, empathy

School-based dementia education could deliver much needed empathy and understanding for older adults, as research from the University of South Australia shows it can significantly improve dementia knowledge and awareness among younger people. Although many organizations are aware of the need for intergenerational education of this type, the study could provide additional motivation for including such programs, particularly after the pandemic or, possibly, via technology right now.
