WHO sets baseline for Decade of Healthy Aging

At least 14% of all people ages 60 years and over ?- more than 142 million people worldwide ?- are currently unable to meet all their basic daily needs, according to the "Baseline report for the Decade of Healthy Ageing," released by the World Health Organization (WHO) on December 17, 2020. That frightening statistic includes individuals in North America, Europe and Asia - not just resource-poor nations. The 220-page report (pdf) is a comprehensive resource that provides global context for healthy aging and data that organizations can use to bolster active-aging initiatives and presentations.
