[PLAY ON] Free pickleball TV channel launches

Samsung TV Plus, a free streaming platform available on all Samsung Smart TVs, has launched Pickleballtv (PBTV), a television network devoted completely to America’s fastest-growing sport, with 36.5M active players in more than 10,000 locations in the US, as of 2023.

“Pickleball’s one of the few sports where 60-year-olds can play – and beat – 16-year-olds," a Tennis Channel spokesperson told the International Council on Active Aging. "It’s an intergenerational game that allows grandparents to compete beside or against their children and grandchildren. Its appeal is undeniable. We’re really excited to partner with the Professional Pickleball Association to bring this game to millions of Americans through Pickleballtv.”

The free to access, round the clock 24-hour media home of pickleball will show more than 30 top-level LIVE PPA Tour tournaments (with teams whose owners include Tom Brady, Eva Longoria, and LeBron James), along with original programming and a weekly studio news show.
