Minto and Margaritaville announce second active-adult community

Minto Communities and Margaritaville Holdings have revealed that Hilton Head, South Carolina, will be the location of their new Latitude Margaritaville community for adults ages “55 and better.” The active-adult community, built on the “no worries” tropical vibe of Margaritaville, will sit on 2,739 acres and include a 72-acre site for a 290,000-sq.-ft. Margaritaville-inspired festive retail center.

Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head will feature a resort-style pool, fitness center, social hall, game and hobby rooms, arts and learning programs, indoor and outdoor dining with signature food and beverage concepts, and tennis and pickleball courts. The destination retail center, developed in partnership with Sutton Holdings, will consist of a Margaritaville signature-concept restaurant, specialty stores, grocery store, and entertainment venues. Development will begin immediately, with a sales center opening targeted for early 2018.

In February 2017, Minto and Margaritaville Holdings announced their partnership, combining Minto’s experience in building communities/homes with Margaritaville’s ability to deliver fun and escapism, to present Latitude Margaritaville communities in popular destinations. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in March 2017 for the partners’ first community in Daytona Beach, Florida.
