New Perspective|Franklin appoints local native Jason Wilson as Executive Director

With the opening of New Perspective|Franklin slated for spring 2020, the new senior living community has appointed Greendale/Franklin native Jason Wilson as Executive Director.  A former police officer in South Milwaukee and restaurant owner in West Allis, he changed careers to the senior living industry after taking care of his late father at home in hospice care.

Wilson was Director of Operations for three years at Luther Manor senior living community in Wauwatosa, WI and joined New Perspective in November, 2019. As Executive Director, Wilson oversees all day-to-day operations, supervision of staff, community outreach and partnering with area organizations to support events in the community. Wilson holds a Community-Based Residential Facilities Administrators License from the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Lakeland University in Sheboygan, WI.

“This amazing opportunity has brought me back home to assist many people that I have long known and have positively impacted my life,” said Wilson, a Greendale resident. “I feel like my roots in southeastern Wisconsin and the Franklin area will enable me to further connect with and help residents here in the community and surrounding area.”

New Perspective|Franklin is a multi-story building for older adults being built on six acres at 7220 Ballpark Drive South—next to the Milwaukee Milkmen baseball stadium. The building features 149 units consisting of independent and assisted living apartments and Betty’s Harbor, a secure neighborhood specifically designed for those with memory loss.  The community will feature a spacious two-story lobby and reception area with fireplaces, water features and natural stone appointments. Exterior views and natural light play an integral part in creating a warm open atmosphere. The wellness center will feature state of the art equipment specifically designed for the senior exercise experience including an indoor warm-water pool kept at a constant 92°F.  Residents will have plenty of dining choices including the restaurant style dining room with grand fireplace, a café and relaxing pub. Other amenities will include a full-service beauty salon/spa, activity center, movie theater and dance hall.

“We’re very pleased and excited to have Jason on our team and feel his experience and deep connections to the area are invaluable for serving the residents, their families, his fellow team members and the public at large,” said New Perspective CEO Ryan Novaczyk.

The Franklin’s rental office is located at 7217 South 76th Street Franklin, WI - next to Pick ‘n Save - and open from 9:30a – 5:30p, Monday through Friday and 10a – 2p Saturday. The site features interactive displays, including a virtual tour so interested people can experience what it would be like living at New Perspective.
