Community gatherings may help prevent cognitive disability
Older adults in Japan who don't exercise regularly but who take part in older-adult-led group activity programs in community gathering places had roughly half the risk of developing cognitive disability compared with non-participants, according to a recent. For active-aging communities, the study reinforces the benefits of group interactions and peer-to-peer instruction.
