After knee replacement, good results come from immediate water therapy

Aquatic therapy has been shown to have a beneficial effect after total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA), surgeries that replace the damaged joint with a metal and plastic or ceramic substitute. Water therapy, according to background for a recent study, typically begins about two weeks after surgery, after the wound has healed.
