In 2024, a task force of health professionals and physical activity leaders set out to address ageism in physical activity. The group's recommendations appeared in a March 2025 white paper to tackle negative stereotypes about aging and change the narrative. In this article, the authors share their steps and strategies.

Ginger Anzalone: Realizing lifestyles for living at Vesta communities by Julie King, MS

When invited to lead aerobics classes on a racquetball court in Taos, New Mexico, in 1982, Ginger Anzalone didn't recognize it as the beginning of a richly rewarding career. Today, she serves as regional president of operations for Vesta Property Services, and has pioneered and promoted fitness and wellness services for 40+ years. In fall 2022, her leadership as a wellness executive earned her an ICAA NuStep Pinnacle Award.
