Women underestimate risk of osteoporotic fractures

As osteoporosis, an age-related thinning of the bones, progresses, the risk of fracture greatly increases, cautions the International Osteoporosis Foundation. Osteoporotic fractures can bring chronic pain, reduced mobility and loss of independence.
