Hip fracture occurrence highest in northern Europe
Prior to the Congress, the results of a global survey of hip fracture incidence were presented. According to provided background, fragility fractures (fracture resulting from daily activities, such as a fall from standing height), affect approximately one in three women and one in five men over the age of 50 worldwide
