Toxic workplaces boost depression risk by 300%
Full-time workers employed by organizations that don't prioritize their employees' mental health have a threefold increased risk of being diagnosed with depression, an Australian study found. While working long hours is a known risk factor for dying from cardiovascular disease or having a stroke, poor management practices pose a greater risk for depression, according to the research. It's something all organizations should be aware of.
