Wellness benchmarks system

The ICAA/ProMatura Wellness Benchmarks have shown that wellness programs--physical activity, engagement, purposeful activities--are key to the satisfaction and health of residents in independent and assisted living in continuing care/life plan communities and stand-alone properties.

The first study to collect numbers on how residents feel about their health, life in the community and how the wellness program impacts these perceptions, the findings contained in the National Reports prove there is a strong business case for investing in programs modeled after benchmark communities.

Because the benchmarks translate the wellness program's results into the language of business, the findings help you and your colleagues understand how wellness supports both mission and margin.

Benchmarking indicators include measures of capacity, utilization, resident satisfaction and perception of value, all related back to objectives of occupancy, length of stay, resident satisfaction and other indicators. These relationships are connected to residents' hours of participation in wellness activities.
