Call to action

Discovering ways to support spirituality through a wide range of activities is increasingly important during times of crisis and uncertainty. There are significant health benefits of spiritual practice, whether it is through religion, nature, CIM activities, physical movement, strengthening purpose, practicing coping strategies, or general spirituality. A high level of spirituality is closely associated with positive, successful aging and overall wellbeing. Wellness professionals should take the time to define their spirituality and practice activities to enhance their own spiritual dimension. Wellness professionals should also assess their community for current spiritual practices, learn the needs and desires of their customers, and develop desired and relevant spiritual activities.
